A young boy with mild autism has been collecting empty bottles as part of his routine. He has gathered over 170 bottles and earned around S$17 by recycling them at Return Right machines. The boy's mother says he genuinely enjoys this activity, which was started after he learned about the Beverage Container Return Scheme. She notes that he feels a sense of achievement from collecting the bottles.
The family collects bottles from their own purchases, as well as from meals at food courts and restaurants. The boy's enthusiasm for the task is evident, and he sometimes sings when excited.
