Problems with electronic units are being addressed ahead of a major transition. The Land Transport Authority reports a decrease in the proportion of cars that need additional work after initial checks. This proportion has fallen significantly over the past year.

Issues such as power loss and display problems have been reported by workshops. Wiring problems are the most common fault found in these units.
